USC added commitment No. 16 of the 2021 recruiting class on Friday, as tight end Lake McRee announced his pledge. As usual, USC coaches and staffers took to social media to celebrate the newest addition to the class.

The 6-foot-4, 217-pound McRee announced his commitment via Instagram Live, as he and his friends and family gathered at a house to watch his commitment video. Later, McRee posted the video:

Coaches are unable to specifically mention recruits until they officially sign with the school, but USC coaches have been plenty creative in finding ways to bring attention to what just happened. Admittedly, finding ways to celebrate the commitment of Michael Jackson III on Wednesday was likely one of the easier gif-able situations for the coaches, McRee's first name--and high school of Lake Travis--offered some easy references as well.

USC tight ends coach John David Baker went straight for it.

USC safeties coach Craig Naivar, who has found some of the more creative ways to phrase these celebration tweets, had the same thought in mind.

Wide receivers coach Keary Colbert took the connection one step further, going past Lake and landing on #LakeShow.

And USC Director of Scouting Trey Johnson was on his gif game, as usual.

Running backs coach Mike Jinks and offensive line coach Tim Drevno were happy to get some help on the offensive side of the ball.

Director of On-Campus Recruiting Kelsea Winkle and Assistant Athletics Director Joseph Wood have been consistent contributors in celebrating USC's recruiting wins.

USC quarterback commit Miller Moss (Mission Hills, Calif./Alemany) joined the Trojan recruiting class this past Monday, but he's wasted no time in turning into a major recruiter for the Trojans. And already he's been able to celebrate two commitments following his own.

McRee is the third Texas prospect to commit to USC in this class, as he joins running back Brandon Campbell (Katy, Texas/Katy) and wide receiver Quay Davis (Dallas/Skyline). Campbell, as usual, had been hinting about this being a big week for the Trojans, and clearly knew McRee was headed this way.
