USC Athletics announced altered attendance protocols for home sporting events for the next several weeks in light of COVID-19 concerns. Running from March 11 through March 29, all USC home sporting events--games and practices--will be closed to the public.

The 26 events scheduled during that time--which includes six football practices, baseball, beach volleyball, men's volleyball, women's water polo, men's and women's tennis, women's rowing and women's lacrosse--will be open only to participating student-athletes, coaches, officials, other essential personnel as designated by USC Athletics, student-athletes' families, media and recruits.

USC had previously announced that all but one spring football practice would be open to the public, but this announcement comes at a time of ever-changing policy due to concerns relating to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). USC Athletics announced this new policy in response to a decision from USC today, as the school announced via twitter: "USC has made the decision to continue online classes after Spring Recess, from 3/22 thru 3/29. Additionally, all university-sponsored events, on and off-campus, btwn 3/11 and 3/29 will be canceled or postponed until a later date."

Three USC home games scheduled for this week have already been canceled, as North Carolina State women’s tennis (March 13), Harvard men’s volleyball (March 14) and Stony Brook women’s lacrosse (March 15) will not travel to Los Angeles.

USC stated that fans who already have purchased tickets to any affected competition can contact the USC Ticket Office at 213-740-GOSC (4672) with questions. USC also stated that they will re-evaluate these measures following March 29.
