Or rather, JT is good in practice, where he is wearing the yellow "do not hit" jersey and he's not afraid of 300-pounders smashing him. In a game where those 300-pounders have a mandate to smash you, he doesn't look quite as good.

Is that why Max Browne started over Sam Darnold?

Guys isn't this fun? After such a crappy last season, and all the disparaging posts about Helton, Swann, the administration, etc. we finally have something to feel good about. Could this be the second coming of Sam Darnold or even better? Someone posted a question about Kedon being the #2 QB in 2020 behind JT, and I thought it might be more of Slovis-Young 1-2 and JT in the transfer portal. At least we have something positive to talk about, and that's USC Football!

Is that why Darnold was recruited at the same time Ricky Town was?

By practice I wasn't referring to actual practice for the games. It is unfortunately the accountant in me that sometimes blabbers a different jargon. We have a saying in our profession that when someone is proficient in tax or accounting knowledge but not good in applying it in actual situational practice, that he/she is good at "theory not practice". My reference to JT was that, from what we have heard about him being such a student of the game, studying the game plans, intensively watching film and making very intelligent observations, that perhaps he is not able to apply that knowledge in his actual games due to whatever factor. That when he is in the actual situation in the game, his mental mechanics do not respond and act/react the way his body does.

Wait till Bryce Young gets to campus next fall.

3 great quarterbacks, 1 football, and only 2 or 3 serviceable offensive linemen....gonna be wild

Don't count your chickens before they've hatched.

There's still a lot of football to transpire between now and NLI/early signing day(s).
