Georgia will have 2 losses by the end of the season. They'll be back down to earth soon.

Division 1-A football should consist of 60 teams split into 6 conferences of 10 teams each. Everybody plays 9 conference games like the old Pac-10. No need for bogus conference championship games. There should be an 8 team playoff consisting of 6 conference champions and two wild cards. Notre Dame can suck it. Join a conference or play strictly for one of the wild card spots. This way argument only occurs among teams that did not win their conference.Win and you're in. That is all.

No....No...No ! This is to logical and simple
The NFL has 32 teams and has an elimination tournament consisting of 12 teams
NACC FBS has 130 teams and has an elimination tournament consisting of 4 teams
Some how something does not seem right with this method for the NCAA Schools

Bama could lose 4 games and be in ... of course with their convenient scheduling that is nearly impossible

Clemson will get into the playoffs barring 2 losses. They have that rep now. OSU will get as well with 1 loss. Bama will get in with 1 loss. That leaves the 4th spot which will be in play for Washington, UGA and ND.

I think coach O beats GA this week. SC will beat ND IMO.

    Beat the buffs.

I could go for this, but I would also add relegation/promotion. The worst team from each playoff-eligible conference gets relegated to one of 6 lower-tier conferences, and the best team in each lower-tier conference gets promoted to one of the 6 playoff-eligible conferences each year.

Never did I think we’d see ND lower the academic standards of their football players to such a degree that they’d be contenders. I mean, they’re supposed to be almost Stanford-like in their expectations, right?
According to them, USC was only good (when we were) because we had no academic expectations of our football players. I guess we can say the same about them now that they’re good.
