Unfortunately, it appears the Athletic dept. has little interest in our Baseball program. They seems just fine with the state of the program, which is downright embarrassing.
Hope they prove me wrong at the end of the season.

Get the name of the AD correct, it's Swann. Hoping Hubbs can turn the season around beginning this weekend with the Bruin series. Let the season finish out. There is much that is wrong with the baseball program, it's not all on Hubbs. SC athletics does not understand the college baseball landscape at all. From upgrading Dedeaux to the lack of promotion from Sports Information, it's all bad. Kids running the field is not the ticket to success. I've said it for years, SC needs a big name coach to put SC baseball back on the map. The athletic department wouldn't know where to begin to replace Hubbs, they would rather continue the product as is. I like Hubbs, but he needed to hire a pitching coach and that is just the beginning. Beat the Bruins!

How about a 16-1 loss to start the ucla series?

That's it! 12-2 Bruins, bottom 6. Clean house. SC baseball has hit an all time low. Bruins are talking about renovating
Jackie Robinson too. This baseball reminds me of the Kreuter years, only worse! It's like SC 50 Bruins 0 in football. Bruins are loaded for the future in baseball and we are awful. SC administration does not know college baseball, this is a disaster! 16-1 last night, 12-2 today, thru 6......one regional since 2005. A once great baseball program without hope.

See above. FYI, UCLA lost it's three best pitchers to injury, Molnar, Olsen, and Hooper and are still going strong. UCLA position players will all return next season, along with yesterdays pitcher Pettway who is very good and a freshman. Want some more of that......that's what we will happen again next season. I like Hubbs, but we don't have it. We need a very big name coach to match Savage. Based on Swann's coaching selections in WTennis, WBasketball, we are in big trouble. SC baseball is a flagship sport and it's been destroyed after years of neglect.

Swann is a figurehead, not an administrator. Other than making a telephone call here and there, he doesn't have a clue about coaching searches. Also, we need a way around the scholarship/tuition cost gauntlet.

DEBACLE comes to mind. Scholarship issue, Vandy, Stanford, Miami, now Duke are good. We had the same scholarship issues with Gillespie, he found great players and mixed with lesser talent to produce excellent teams year after year. Randy Flores, for example, was not a big recruit. Our recruiting is bad. To begin, we do get the 11.7 scholarships and you best get some great players. Hubbs is not attracting the talent, in the field or on the mound. We don't hit and the pitching is bad too. We may not be great every season, but one regional since 2005 is comical. There is no interest. What does Swann know about college baseball? For that matter, Lopes has been around for a million years and he hasn't influenced anything positive in baseball too. Baseball has never had an actual nationwide search for a coach. Maybe, Swann will look to Florida Gulf Coast for the search. Disgusted to see the Bruins prancing around like they invented baseball with our former assistant coach Savage. If this team was LSU, Texas, Miami, or even Fullerton, would the current situation be allowed to go unchanged, I don't believe so. We need to make a significant change.

Trojans outscored 42-5 this weekend after being outscored 34-2 against Stanford earlier. Perhaps the two worst weekends in Trojan baseball history?

The team has obviously quit. Changes need to be made now.

Agree with all this, except the teams has not quit.
They may be out-manned and feeling down, but they have not quit.

The team has not quit. However, we don't have it. It's not going to be better next year. Time to make a major coaching change.
