I thought it was great. As they pointed out he was still in shock over what just went down.

Afterwards Urban Meyer laid it out great. How Fink made it all about his receivers and his teammates. Then Leinert talking about how close Fink, Slovis and Daniels are and how qb practice this week was all about team.

He praised Helton too for finding a way to win twice after losing his starting QB.

 

Missed tackles yes. Dumb ass penalties yes. But you gotta hand it to this team tonite. They played their hearts out. My hat’s off to them. Beating #10 UT with our 3rd string QB? Are you fucking kidding me !!!!

 

Final thoughts. Nice win. Should been a blowout but sc did what sc does shoots itself in a foot. Hufanga is second coming of ronnie lot. Fink great win great stats but alot of 50 50 balls where the superior receivers made the plays. If slovis is healthy he should start. Tackling is still a problem. When game is close Heltons nerves show. Nice to see the running game close out the game. If sc avoids mistakes and Helton stays out of the way sc should beat Washington and notredame.

 

I would never pull for a USC loss to get rid of a coach. There’s no need to, he will eventually dig his own grave. But this criticism of people who are tired of this one step forward two steps back crap for the last decade is really unfair. You don’t get to define who is a fan. Everyone wants the same thing in the end. We just disagree about how to express that. I choose humor, because that’s my defense mechanism for dealing with the absolute shit show my alma mater has become, not just this program. Our rep on and off the field has taken an absolute beating between sets scandals, admission scandals, bad presidents, bad ADs, bad coaches. Don’t think people who want to turn that around with more urgency are bad fans.

I would not call it uncomfortable..He was obviously emotional and you gotta love the love he has for USC and his teammates! That’s a guy that a team will follow!!!!

I LOVED his answer about being prepared as if he IS the number 1 guy. I loved that interview and am a HUGE Matt Fink fan and he is a great example of what it means to FIGHT ON!!!!

Before you hon and blame the coaches remember this. The coaches see the same thing.

I doubt they don’t teach him how to wrap up and bring his man down . My point ....

All Helton needs to do is figure out a way to get them to do what Utah did, tonight - play unlike themselves and commit 16 penalties.

That is exactly what I was thinking. Urban knows he can win big at SC.

 

Great win. Hufunga is a beast. Sepp is a baby lendale. Fink way to step up. WRs played big especially Pittman. Helton still needs to go. And no way in hell Utah is a top 10 team. To be honest no one in the pac 12 is unfortunately. Fight on!

 

Can you name a player who progressed? If it was the kids not listening to coaches you would see some kids steadily improving, just by sheer odds.
