ESPN is showing some Rose Bowl game tonight that may or may not have actually happened.

If you’d like to discuss it here, you may. Possible topics include:

    1) Exactly how far forward Reggie’s “lateral” traveled and where USC should have been awarded the ball.

    2) Other moments in college football history where video was “unavailable” on a pivotal play where the call on the field was clearly wrong.

    3) How well USC covered a bunch of really good tight ends during the 2019 season.

    4) Play calls on downs 1, 2 or 3, or any play needing to get three yards or more.

    5) How bitter I still am about a game that took place 15 years ago.

Painful walking out of Rose Bowl hearing young Texas fans yapping. IronMike & Sample walked by me looking like someone shot their dog.

I was at the Texas - LSU college Gameday in September decked out in my USC gear. There were some glares, but all in all hardly anyone walked up and talked smack.

It is ancient history now. It happened. A majority of fans for both teams have moved on. My Gameday experience proved it.

Still by far the sickest I've ever been after a game. I swear I turned the tv off right after the final second and held my woman the rest of that night until I fell asleep (like a sick baby).

Went to the SC - Texas game last year in Austin. Everyone was great and no one talked any smack. We left the game at halftime and as we were walking to get our Uber, I stood right next to Vince Young. He said hello - decent enough guy. I wanted to kick him in the shin.

I’m right there with you. I simply can not, and will not, ever watch it.

What if they obey, but then choose to attend UT-Austin?

I was at LA DAC. Everyone was loud and cheering right up until VY broke the plain of the end zone. Then it was a mortuary. Everyone there walked out completely stunned, unable to say a word, even to the friends we came with. I was silent the whole ride home.

And yes, that game undoubtedly would've turned out different with modern HD cameras and replay rules.

I'm confused on this. Best I can recall, our defense couldn't cover a piece of toast with soft butter the past couple of seasons. Although maybe that's a bit harsh -- there was definitely improvement under Burns.

USC ran up against a bunch of really, really good tight ends last year and did a pretty good job against them. But it was more a case of wanting to discuss any tight end that is not that Texas tight end, because thatwas not the case against the Texas tight end in that game, which still may or may not have actually happened.

I’m not bitter about it. It sucked, but it was 15 years ago. I’ve moved on, and remaining bitter about it just gives Texas fans rent free space in our heads that they don’t deserve.

But I have no desire to watch any of USC’s losses again, this one included. Not much point for me.

The beginning of our complete inability to cover a QB who can move his legs began that night and has lasted till this day...

If I ever watch it again I would skip the last 2 Texas drives. Many painful moments that could have clinched the game for us: Ting batting down the ball instead of intercepting. Fumble by Texas receiver that was called incomplete pass. Frostee not staying home on the last 4th down play, etc

HOW can you bring yourself to watch that torture?! It was the absolute worst.

As if the game wasn't bad enough, my son and I were both there and we only had one ticket between us. To make matters even worse, I let him have the ticket and entrusted him with $200 to buy one from a scalper and I'd have him give it to me. He bought one alright - counterfeit! He later caught the guy and got him in a headlock. He called me and asked if I wanted him to take the guy to the cops. I said no, forget it. That would cause BOTH of us to miss the game.

The way that game ended was 1,000 times worse than getting fleeced.

I can’t watch it at all, period! I know the outcome, I’m not happy with the outcome, too many mistakes made that day by SC, bad calls made by the zebras, especially against SC. I’m getting fed up just talking about it. I’m done!
