Thanks Erik. You pre-answered my mailbag question. What's the possibility Drake Jackson plays some OLB this season, was going to be my question.

Yeah, I’d mentioned it somewhere else earlier as a guess of how you could still use Jackson while using a three-man front of Pili, Tuipulotu and Tufele. It just seemed to make sense (although we don’t yet know what it might actually look like or if it will happen).

Oh, he’s a combination of my phone’s autocorrect of Tufele and my proofreading ability at 11:30 pm. Fixed now.

yes, I don’t remember ever having this many players recovering from surgeries and missing Spring practice. Hopefully some of the “likely to miss” players recover quickly and actually don’t miss the practice.

Very disappointing for Stepp since we are all hoping a big year for him.

The knee injury to Iosefa was supposed to keep him out a few games, then became the whole season and now Spring practice.

seems like Daniel I got his 6th season officially granted.

Lack of mention of Solo among the recovering injured players is probably good news.

The official site uses two blanket statements for injuries. They say the player is either “likely to miss” spring ball or “could be slowed” during spring ball. That still means those second group players could play fully through with no mention of injury, or miss just the first practice, or wear a non-contact jersey throughout. We’ll find out Tuesday.

Iosefa has a second surgery on that injured knee in mid-November, so he was always questionable for this spring.

Yes, I am particularly worried about Stepp and Iosefa. I don't expect to see Solo or Daniel I. anymore, so if they can play it's a bonus.

Daniel is the big Q. Can he play or just back to get free grad school . If I don’t see him on HJ during scrimmage then it’s free school

I thought anyone who played football at USC can come back and either finish their degree or take grad school up through Masters for free?
Isn’t that how Charles White got his Masters?

Didn’t he get his masters already? He was taking a lot of classes while injuried. Know Devon Kennard told me at meeting he did this while recovering
