Helton will go down in SC history as the worst coach ever! I doubt anyone would ever make him a college head coach. He belongs in the HS level.

Haden, Swann and Helton are worse than the NCAA death penalty because they have chosen to do this to their own program. Folt and Bohn have also added their names to this list.

There won't be a Helton press conference today. He'll make his comments during his Trojans Live appearance. There had been a thought that Todd Orlando would have his first media availability today, but now it appears the plan is to wait until spring ball to make him available.

Wasn’t expecting a big kaboom. Max & Folt have crushed SC football. Live with it & dream of the old days

Going forward, Helton and instability will result in the same recruiting nightmare next December. What's going to change?
    Today was beyond depressing.

I agree with all of the sentiments expressed herein. What's more, if you look at the lists signed by our PAC-12 opponents the future looks even more foreboding. Oregon put additional distance between us and them and Colorado seems to have an impressive group. Then there's Herm Edwards who continues to raid Southern California at will while enhancing his coaching staff. Even the South Division seems to be catching and perhaps passing us. This year is now or never for Helton and perhaps as well for the next decade of USC football.

Local elite recruits are choosing to go 2,000 miles away from family, rather than go to USC. Is there another blueblood descending quicker than what we're witnessing? Wonder if Nebraska fans expressed similar outrage before their death spiral began? If 2020 (starting with Bama) goes really bad, it could be very hard to reverse this trend, going forward.

Helton said late Wednesday that there are still two scholarships left for them to work with. If that's true, then there's an extra spot coming from somewhere, or he's not including Daniel Imatorbhebhe in that math (which could make sense if Imatorbhebhe hasn't yet been granted that sixth year of eligibility).

This guy is still unsigned and uncommitted and from Texas. The #1 runningback in this class. There could be a reason he's not signing with those "better" schools and waiting for an SC to fly over and make him feel welcomed. You put everything into Drennen and that didn't pan out so now go hard after Evans.

There was an article that was just posted that talked about Zach Evans. It appears as if unless here recommits to Georgia he will likely sit out a year. That would be a great fit for USC if he’s willing to take the trip.

I read yesterday that he was given or will be given unconditional release from his NLI, which means he won't have to sit out a year or re-sign with another school. He can just verbal and go. The bigger issue is it seems he has off the field problems and may be like a Ricky Williams type in the way he looks at life and football.
