I've never understood the West Coast folks with the anti-Cowherd lean. He's the only major national sports media figure with any West Coast love and he talks more about college football than any other radio broadcaster. His takes are intelligent, witty and opinionated, which makes them fun to listen to. I always suspected he was an SC guy, but hearing how "into SC" he has been over the years during this segment was super interesting. He went up a few more notches in my book.

He has used ideas found in posts on this board a dozen or so times I know of. He is a USC fan and because he is and everyone on his show knows he is they knew it was hard for him to make that prediction. At the very end of his broadcast today he picked Stanford to win and his new side kick (the one who replaced Leahy) said something to him like, "I bet that hurt", and he smirked.
