He's going to take concussion risks for free next year? hardly. This is a bluff.

 

He'll suffer far more concussions in Cleveburg

 

Well, the Browns are going to be picking first for at least a few more years - so doesn't really matter. He could pull an Eli Manning and let it be known he won't sign with them (ala Manning and the Chargers).

 

Honestly, I may be one if the few that believe CLE situation is better than the NYG right now.
NYG has a lot of weapons around the QB: WR depth, some RBs, but no quality OL to protect the QB.

CLE has a completely empty cupboard.
This would be an opportunity for Rosen to come in and get to put weapons around him that would more to his liking.
If I'm going to be the franchise, I'm picking CLE over NYG.

 

I agree. They have a better OL in Cleveland then in New York. But the Giants are in New York and that appeal is hard to ignore

 

Giants are a way better organization that won't languish in futility.

 

With all the injury/concussion issues, Rosen can't afford to come back next year. If this is the general route he wants to take, his only real option is to enter the draft and not sign with Cleveland.

 

Rosen has NO support for his bluff.....absolutely no way he's going back to school for his senior year.

Injuries, money, ego, and Chip Kelly brand new offense.....4 huge reasons.

 

So he thinks the Browns will be better next year and not have a high draft pick?!? Oops!!

 

Rosen shouldn't find himself drafted earlier than the second round. This guy has so many red flags, I pity the GM who drafts him.

 

The problem is, passing on him gets you fired.

 

I’m not so sure but it will definitely be interesting to follow. He could end up great but just as easily bust. All up to him.

 

'splain me this: How can an NFL team "commit" to who they are going to draft? It's up to the ugliest Bruin of all time to either make himself available for the draft or to not to. Commit? really?

 

Rosen, maybe his agent (dreaming $ signs) are the only one's taking themselves seriously. I don't think Rosen has John Elway type leverage to suggest to the Browns or any NFL team his preference to where he will not play. Just don't see it.

 

I think it's the Greg Oden problem. You just can't pass up franchise defining players when you have the top pick. Sometimes they turn into Lebron James, sometimes they turn into Kwame Brown. Right now, his floor is probably Jay Cutler. His ceiling is HOF level. Drafting Rosen #1 doesn't get you fired, but passing on him does.

So Rosen declares for the draft, is drafted by the Browns, refuses to sign, and while he sits out until the 2019 draft he plays for Lavar.
