He could pull an Eli Manning and let it be known he won't sign with them (ala Manning and the Chargers). spintojoe likes this.

NYG has a lot of weapons around the QB: WR depth, some RBs, but no quality OL to protect the QB. CLE has a completely empty cupboard. This would be an opportunity for Rosen to come in and get to put weapons around him that would more to his liking. If I'm going to be the franchise, I'm picking CLE over NYG.

If this is the general route he wants to take, his only real option is to enter the draft and not sign with Cleveland. TheRealAirbns likes this.

Injuries, money, ego, and Chip Kelly brand new offense.....4 huge reasons. DADMoyock and Rodgarnay51 like this.

I don't think Rosen has John Elway type leverage to suggest to the Browns or any NFL team his preference to where he will not play. Just don't see it. You just can't pass up franchise defining players when you have the top pick. Sometimes they turn into Lebron James, sometimes they turn into Kwame Brown. Right now, his floor is probably Jay Cutler. His ceiling is HOF level. Drafting Rosen #1 doesn't get you fired, but passing on him does. DADMoyock likes this.
