They have given up because they are playing a better team. Not sure it has much to do with Helton. Rector looks like he is pushing a piano. ND guys are running by him like Road Runner past Wile E. Coyote. Poor tackling and angles. ND is playing a three man front on first and second down and then bringing pressure on third down and SC has no answer. It's like Groundhog Day only we are not getting any smarter with experience reliving the same situation over and over again. Could get ugly. Never catch a break like a big turnover or specials team play. Just getting ground down by a better team who is only playing about a C- game.

Was Cal, Ucla, and the others, better football teams last year? This is exactly what we saw at the end of 2018.

Disagree, kids are playing very hard. We had some hard tackles and hard hits. I think we are playing a good game overall. Don't forget, Notre Dame is the #9 team in the country, a true blue-blood and a contender for the championship. Right now we are a bit young with a true freshman QB! Just wait till next year and this team is going to be very fun to watch under Helton and Harrel year 2.

If we had no coach, NFL level talent should be able to tackle, run or make plays. Yet they make the same mistakes every week. Sometimes the players bear responsibility for getting their arse kicked. These guys have shown no heart. They have given up in the first half when ND hasn't even brought their C game. Just going through the motions. Probably cold and want to fly home.

We don't have confidence. We are not playing to win. We are trying to survive. Usc football ain't what it used to be. This season could unravel. We need to catch a break fast or this game could be a blowout.

The guys are playing hard. Let's face it, this team is just slow, over matched and out coached. Even Carr runs like he has weights on his ankles.

Yep, next year it will be fun killing the Ruins, Indians, Koalas, and Chrome Domers with whoever we have as HC.

We got beat by a better team........ND could have scored 50 tonight by just running the ball. No one calls it but....somehow ND did not cover.

However, there are not enough studs and our lack of recruiting this year and last will end up killing us.

we did not get beat by a better team. Wtf are you talking about? USC talent clearly outmatched ND and that’s why the game was close. We lost because of shit coaching and shit refs. These USC coaches consistently put the players in the wrong position to make plays. How the hell are you going to keep calling the same outside routes when the defense keeps playing 2 high safety? Only time we changed and started attacking the middle was when Slovis audibled out of the stupid play calls that came from the sideline.

Then Gomer calling Brian Kelly a "class act" after the game is a laughable farce. Yeah we will add em all up and your ass wont be in Santa Clara at the end of the season. Hellton is too full of shit for me to listen to anymore.

Our inability to stop the run, especially on the late drives, cost us the game. Once again, poor tackling and problems containing the edges.

But it just isn’t accurate to say that the players gave up at all, much less on Helton. They fought hard till the end against a good team. The offense played a much better second half than first half. These kids have heart.

Your right they do have Heart that is why it is such a damn shame they have to walk around campus this week after yet another loss and realize they are 8-11 in their last 19 games. These young kids certainly did not come to SC for that. Helton is the worst thing that could have ever happened to these kids.
