Swann says, "Baseball continues on..." A fact I need not be reminded of. Hardly a ringing endorsement. How many more conference games will the Trojans win to finish the season?

Maybe he meant to say Baseball continues on to irrelevancy?

I would interpret that as no comment until the end of the season.
How many times did Haden say he evaluates each coach at the end of their season? What good would it do to fire Hubbs now (if at all)?

Where did this quote come from? I would like to see the entire context.

Never mind. Found it on the infamous blog.
Lynn Swann made some interesting comments today on baseball.
On baseball, Swann said, “Baseball continues on with a trip to Utah this week. We hope to put together a late season run after a tough couple of weeks.”
Tough couple of weeks? USC baseball was 15-8 on March 28. It has gone 4-17 since. That’s more than a rough couple of weeks.

You found it. And, it's not just the losses. The poor fundamentals, poor strategy, poor base running, offer little hope for the future. Strange lineup combinations too. Nootbaar is in CF, the 1B, then LF. The players need to be at one position and learn it. Batting is poor too. And, 5 of those 15 early wins were vs Coppin State and Holy Cross. This season is pathetic.

From 1968-78, USC had 40 or more wins in a season nine times. Sad to say, but those days are long gone and do not appear to be returning any time soon.

Last night, we couldn't intentionally walk the batter in the 8th. Threw the ball past the catcher and allowed the runner to score which tied the game. Comedy of errors.
