One of the most versatile transfers available in the portal. The 6-foot-8 guard averaged 11.1 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.8 assists last year while hitting 41% of his shots and 82% from the line. He’ll be a true junior this fall, so unlikely he’ll be eligible immediately.

Peterson previously committed to Minnesota out of the portal but backed away from that commitment.

I'm so old that I remember when 6'8" was a tall center!

    3.8 assists will help.

33% from 3-pt but the good FT % might imply he can improve from distance. We need players with experience. He averaged 32 min/game last year. Good pickup.

They're building a really good roster for the 2021 season, when Peterson and Morgan will be available and the three 2021 commits show up and you've got a veteran Ethan Anderson. It'll be interesting see how it plays out this year though, because Evan Mobley likely won't be around for that group.

I like that he can handle the ball, pass and really shoot! His acquisition goes beyond softening the blow of losing Weaver.

I agree. If he shoots free throws at 82% he's got a nice touch.

Sad about the likely loss of Mobley, even if he was going to be a one and done.

I have the Jan 4 1960 program at the Sports Arena. 2 games - Cal vs SC and Wash at Fucla. Cal under Pete Newell won the NCAA the previous year. Cal had Darrall Imhoff 6'10 220. SC's tallest players were Hanna 6'7 225 and Rudometkin 6'6 200. Twogood was SC's coach. The Ruins had only 3 players at 200+ lbs (200, 210, 210).
