Correct. It has become ever more obvious that 1) Helton is not well respected by colleagues in the profession; no one of real consequence wants to work under such a mediocre figure, and, 2) only the most desperate or unemployed would want to jump aboard the SOS Helton as it continues to list and take on water. It not Barry, expect a brief period in which Helton sends out a virtual "may day" and offers complete control , a la Harrell, to any taker. If this doesn't work, then an internal promotion for the honor of beginning the last go around by facing Alabama.

Exactly. Even Kiffin got Partridge and Durkin on board. Helton has zero respect in the coaching community. That is a huge handicap we have to deal with.

This is a good move. The offense will be more in sync with like minded coaching behind a philosophy.

Slovis and the passing game was no fluke. It'll continue to get refined and improved as Harrell does.

    Edit:
Just wanted to reiterate how much I like this move, these guys have the passion and drive to recruit and stamp their names on a blue blood program. These are Texas guys, you know, the guys we talk about who live and breathe football and the whole town shuts down for Friday night high school football? Yeah. These are them. They are also the next up and coming coaches we say we should go after.

They will recruit Texas. Bring in those linemen we say we don't have because they eat lard on waffles with high fructose corn syrup made in China, instead of rabbit food kids eat out here.

And these guys may be the reason Harrell didn't leave for another job.

I think they had at least two linebacker coaches last year, so it’s good to have some balance.

Won't matter You cant win without a TE.
Rob Gronkowski need I say more?

Travis Kelce 10 catches for 134 yards 3 TD's in a playoff game.

Why does this happen? Because the WR's are locked up. That leaves the TE in a mismatch situation.

    Alabama vs Clemson 2016
TE OJ Howard was the hero. Despite not being really a factor prior. Clemson elected to take out the WR's and the TE made them pay.

Wake up Graham Harrell: No team has won a NC or NFL Superbowl throwing the ball to Wr's 80% of the time. You can't ignore the TE and RB in a knuckle dragging game. Iowa's TE had a big game against USC.

Even the Air Coryell San Diego Chargers used a TE with their air attack. (Kellen Winslow) Don's not stupid.

Look for Thadeuss Moss TE LSU to be a difference maker in tonight's game.

Why? I can put a CB/S on your tall WR and only give up height. I don't have a DB's that can do anything with a 50 lb weight disadvantage all game. No LB is going to lock up a TE that's always a mismatch. So it's your 6 foot 200 lb DB on my 6 foot 5 260 lb TE all game. The TE only has to win a few 3rd and longs and the game is over.

Edward's the RB has over 100 yards rushing and Moss the TE had 2 TD's

Both the TE's TD's were clutch one before halftime and another to break the game open.

Next season we’re going to look like LSU on offense and Sonny Dykes’s Cal team from a few years ago on defense. I bet we see a lot of 40+ point games by our opponents even in wins
