Too late the decision has been made. Doesn’t look good. Press release at 10am apparently.

You are using the information from the ten-minute meeting from today to say this, Clay doesn't know. He said it himself that nothing has changed until they say he's not the coach.

Don’t believe it then. Doesn’t make sense to me either. Why wait until now to announce Helton? I don’t get it. Then again, what does make sense within the Athletic Department, regardless who’s in charge?

Emails or contacting Bohn or Folt in any way at this point is a complete waste of time. The decision has been made. News update coming tomorrow. Relax.

    Why are you embarrassed?
That is a personal issue more than anything else.

These outstanding student athletes represented this university with class the entire season and more importantly they have fought adversity at every turn.

Do not use the words embarrassed. I am embarrassed that you think that way. These men deserve a lot more.

I think USC expects more than what we have seen but this season could have been much worse.
The way we fought back in that ND game shows how much these players still believe in Clay Helton and what he is doing.
This is with a true freshman QB.

I would be more embarrassed if they were messing up off the field and not representing SC even if we were 12-0 more than I am now.

    Football isn't everything.

Sustained mediocrity is embarrassing with a top 4 roster and all those injuries are all a result of Mr. Fights lack of ability to run a program correctly

    Cool, story bro.

I heard Yale and Harvard have very respectable and liberal programs. You even get the added bonus of global warming protests during football games by people who don't even watch football.

So laughable that you think they're going to pay attention to the rants of the raging tarmacers.

The ones who should really be embarrassed are the "fire Helton" crowd, imo. Their constant complaining is not only getting old, but I think it's also making coaching jobs at SC look less desirable.

    So does USC.
    We aren't Alabama or Clemson

USC winning football games doesn't get SC alumni jobs. Ultimately most people who graduate from USC care about what doors does that degree open.
Football for the most part allows USC to be well known but Academics seals the deal.

This isn't professional football and we aren't some insecure fan base from Louisiana or Alabama that puts everything into football but has states that are falling to pieces.

Duke is a great academic school. It would be embarrassing for them to lose year after year to inferior talent, and when the coach is on the hot seat, not work to control the narrative. It's embarrassing. USC and Duke put academics first, and have great alumni networks. But football is huge here and basketball there, both should be top notch programs year in and year out.
