No decision yet on whether or not to cancel the fall NCAA championships, as the discussion will continue into August. This vote will only affect NCAA championships, so the College Football Playoff would technically not be included, but there is some thought that a decision to cancel all the fall championships could apply some pressure to cancel the Playoff. The hope at the FBS level appears to be that the board continues to kick the decision further along the calendar and doesn’t make any permanent decision too quickly.

How can you have a playoff with at least two of the conferences refusing to come?

Is it just the Big 10 and Pac 12 at this point that are sayaing conference only?

    Yes.

This vote is for NCAA championships, which the College Football Playoff is not. I also don't believe the conference has said anything definitive about post-season games--only that the regular season would be conference-only.
