Oh stop it. You know damn well that wasn't the issue. Let me remind you - You acted worse than a horse's ass and relentlessly trolled the board in a contentious fashion that was disruptive and greatly reduced the enjoyment of other members. Currently, either it's you using yet another handle or your clone is doing the same under many different handles. I look forward to their bannings the same as I so very much enjoyed yours.

This was my take on it as well. I’m not a donor but some of my colleagues from med school are. Haden passing over Orgeron did not sit will with many donors, and in fact I know of at least one who has not donated since.

03' at Berkeley against Aaron Rodgers if I'm not mistaken. We still got screwed out of the title game that year. We should have been playing and beating LSU. Still don't understand how we get jumped by Oklahoma who got throttled by K- State in conference title game.

I know Ralph, what would you like to ask him? PS. there are several that give more than him each year, but you can always see him and wife center court.

Perfect! just what I'm sure we were hoping for!, a mediocre NFL coach with a losing record that has never coached or recruited in CFB, BUT because he's "part of the family" he'll get the job. SOOOOO typical USC

Question: does he, and the people who make decisions about USC football want to win? As in, do they really want to do what it takes to build a winning program?

Why does a football coach or AD have to be a Trojan? Kiffin, Sark, Helton, Haden and Swann all had SC ties before they were hired. Pete Carroll did not. Which of those hires turned out the best?

Does the philosophy of only considering Trojans inform all his decisions? Is everyone working at his practice a Trojan? His office designed, built and managed by Trojans?

If he needed emergency brain surgery (God forbid, of course) would he insist on only a Trojan surgeon?

If Nick Saban and Jeff Fisher both want the SC job, is Fisher hiresd because he went
    To SC?

Why not conduct a true nationwide search for the best candidates regardless of their ties to USC, and if by chance the best candidate has no SC ties then we
    make him a Trojan?

Apart from Carroll's 7 years......Tollner, Smith, desperate attempt at Robinson 2.o, Hackett, Kiffin, Sark, Helton. You people act as if failing to hire a good Head Coach is something new. That covers 36 years people!!!!!

True. I think only USC among the blue bloods has done such a poor job hiring a head football coach. I would bet no other top football program has had such a drought.

USC admin is ”investing” in its football team like Donald Sterling did with his Clippers for all those years... all take and no give.

No investment commensurate to the brand, fan loyalty, history, tradition, etc.

They had better rethink this before its past the point of no return for the football program that has brought so much to the institution of USC.

It would be rude of me not to reply, but you're not gonna like the answer.

It really isn't up to any one or any group for that matter. It's about a preponderance of wills among the BoT, AD, and $100K+ club,m and to remain in good stead within said club one cannot act like a bull in a china shop if you don't like what is going on. I liken it to city politics where the AD is the mayor and the others are councilmen. So they spend their time politicking behind the scenes and right now it is not looking good for HCCH in any case and Swann maneuvered to protect ticket sales and to avoid egg on his face if HCCH somehow ran the table, so you get the milquetoast endorsement. A classic case of reading between the lines. That's why conventional wisdom is that if we beat one of the rivals and tomorrow's opponent, no announcements come and a few more coaching staff changes happen and Clay stays. But if we loose tomorrow to Kal, then there would be no bowl game unless we beat ucla and then the search would officially begin with an interim person from existing staff be named.

For now, it's not any prettier even though the team showed signs of life. And that's due to the way we got here, not necessarily the bottom line, and the prospect of losing ticket sales and recruits. An ESPN style probability meter would be hovering just under 50% that we would end up with Hellton going into Fall camp next year.

    Sorry, but that's my $.02

Hey look -- it's another dude who logs on to the board with his first post, claiming super-secret insider information about the inner workings of USC's athletic department, this time from the tooth fairy.

I can't wait till next week when yet another person gets on the board, claims to have slept with Lynn Swann's wife, and in the post-sexy-time pillow talk, she shared that Lynn has been in secret talks with the ghosts of Joe Paterno and Amos Alonzo Stagg and getting their input on whether it's wise to bring back Ronnie Lott as our new Defensive Coordinator.

Success? 22-8 at USC would have this Board after Coach O’s neck.
