It is a clown car season, so expect slapstick, not reasoned adult decisions.

This is excessive considering the shortened season. A small fine would have been sufficient.

Back then, batters expected it so they were ready to bail out on an inside pitch. Today, batters have little fear and look for the ball in a very small strike zone or simply take. Also, guys back then didn't throw as hard as guys these days so it was a little easier to react to and inside pitch.

"where are the clowns, don't bother thhheeir heeere"
Cheaters cheat knowing there are few if any meaningful consequences for their indiscretions. Cheaters know that society is mired in multiple decades of apathetic fog. Cheaters don't have to worry about societal shunning or shaming which is why I appreciate,

“Guessing is harder than knowing,” Hershiser said after jose altuve struck out vs the Dodgers.
We must shame those who practice underhanded practices/unfair play at every opportunity or the joke will always be on us- the clowns,

MLB is a joke since they never really punished any of the Houston Cheaters. In their next game against the Cheaters, i wish the Dodgers lose because they beaned every Cheater batter and beaned them even with the bases full.

    Nolan Ryan disagrees.

The Astros do not deserve these beanballs. Kelly needs to Be made an example of.

Speaking of Nolan...I read that they measured speed differently in his day. Based on today's measurements, he'd be around 107 MPH.

Nolan Ryan may be my favorite athlete of all time (any sport). He played on bad teams for most his career too. What a shame. The Angel's letting him go early in his career was one of the biggest screw ups in their history. When the Angel's parted ways he was 32. He went on to play 14 more seasons and averaged 27 starts a year. He was an iron man and didn't miss games. 7 no hitters, 12 1 hitters, most strikeout in MLB history. I think they learned a lesson in keeping Trout. You have to keep a guy that can sell tickets and market him.

People often mention Nolan's fastball but he had a wicked curveball too. You don't become the "Strike Out King" with one pitch.

If MLB had meted out proper justice, Joe Kelly wouldn't have had to...

What else should I expect from a Giants fan? Barry Bonds makes the Astros' cheating pale by comparison. But speaking of beanballs, I'll bet all the guys Bumgarner sent sprawling deserved it, right?

Yes of course. Bumgarner is no Kelly. He has class.

Have you seen Kelly pitch? He is sometimes “wild”.

If you knew what really happened then you’d realize what a puss Nolan Ryan was being.

The White Sox faced Ryan the week before in Chicago. Ryan gave up home runs to a few Sox players, including small guys like Ozzie Guillen and 5’6” Craig Grabeck.

Next week in Texas, a couple/3 Sox players got him again for home runs including Ventura so Ryan was embarrassed and had to hit Ventura the next time at bat.

How about just getting someone out Nolan?

    7 No hitters
    12 1 hitters
    3.16 career ERA
    5,714 Strikeouts.
I'd say he got a lot of people out.

Someone with credentials like this is not worried about Robin Ventura? Really?

Robin still got the stench of Nolan Ryan's armpits on his face to this day.
