Lamb in transfer portal from Notre Dame. Any opinions on his play or interest in the Trojans?

We certainly need help at ILB. I'm pretty sure Lamb was GZ and we have a GZ coach on staff so...

After losing out on Ethan Calvert, this student athlete may be a good back up plan, he has size, from Southern California and was a 4 star recruit out of High school. Is he he a sophomore or a red shirt freshman?

Lamb's lack of success at ND really surprises me. I thought he was going to be one of our biggest regrets from that class. I guess the injury was too much for him to overcome.

We should go after him if there's any chance of him getting back to full strength/speed. Especially with him still having three years of eligibility remaining.

Can you elaborate on his injury?

Don’t we already have like seventy twelve billion Inside Linebackers?

All I know is what I read after seeing that he put his name in the portal. The article said he had an extremely serious hip injury in late 2019 and that its effects are still having a really negative effect on his game. Even his coaches were quoted as saying that he isn't the same player he was pre-injury and that he had no real chance of competing for any real playing time. In fact, their tone made it seem like they don't think he'll ever be the player he once was.

@ big_pete and @ GoSC27! Thank you for the information. That sucks for the young man, but at least he has his degree from Notre Dame. I wish him good luck, but I don’t think SC should make an offer, specially if you consider Solo and Iosefa’s injuries.

Why would SC consider a ILB that is dealing with a career threatening injury? That doesn’t make sense at all. Also, Lamb didn’t have SC as one of his finalist when he chose to go to ND. Nah, nothing to see here.
