Because Lynn Swann has given Clay Helton the 2019 season to get his act together and as expected it didn't pan out.

You take over as the Trojans head coach and have all of spring practice to assess what you have as far as players and a few weeks before the 2020 season starts to come up with a game plan for Alabama.

What coach in his right mind would want to step into that position?

Having Swann waste another year (2019) putting his trust behind Helton is lunacy. Do that and good luck finding any coach worth a damn that will be willing to take the job.

BOT don’t want to eat any of Clay ‘s contract. Doubt they even care about football.

Do you think a new coach would care if Helton was given an extra year to underdevelop and have the Trojans talent regress even more?

    LMFAO!

Beat it bRuin troll, go play tidly winks with your buddy pudly off in a corner somewhere...this is big business we're discussing here.

OMG, you’re right! We should fire everyone now or there won’t be a Trojan football program at all! No one in their right mind will take this job. Why didn’t I see that? The Trojan faithful will turn their backs on both the school and the program.
Or... we outlast the entire uc system which is already crumbling under the weight of its own bureaucracy and going bankrupt as we speak!
Open a couple more threads with the same topic. Works for me.

a true coach isnt going to care that his first game at the school is against bama....actually quiet the opposite. Most true coaches are going to think they have an advantage being at SC and Bama not knowing how to scout for the Trojans. You cant always go off what someone did at their previous stop. Different players, different assistants, coordinators, schemes, etc. Same could be said if Helton is still there. could be a new OC or DC by that time,

Okay, now, since you're way under water on your "Post" to "Like" ratio, it's NOT appropriate for YOU to call someone else a "bRuin troll". When looking at "True Trojan Value", your "Post" to "Like" ratio has you at 22% (154/35) and in2nation's current "Post" to "Like" ratio is 64% (340/219)...so, if you're going to continue to post something every 15 minutes (or less), then at least show a little decorum as it relates to others. Have a GREAT Veterans weekend!

It would not be a problem if the new coach is Nick Saban.
