One poster said SC was the second best team in the nation
Another said we were a 17 1/2 point favorite even while having four couches during Kelley's tenure.
Another said they hoped to stay within 28 points
Another said it sounds more like 57-6
And finally, my favorite, Kelley is tied with Lou Holtz with the most Notre Dame losses, 30 each. Lets put Kelly over the top Trojans!
Sounds a lot like our board back in September.

I used to troll the domer boards a lot Dad...it was funny 5-10 years ago, watching them flail away after losing a game to Tulsa. They were so arrogant it was funny, going on and on about Lou Holtz and the four horseman and "college football is Notre Dame" and blah blah..... planning show boat tours like the shamrock series where ND would go around the country beating up on UTEP and UL-whoever . It's not so great anymore they have kind of been pounded into submission with all the loses....and yeah they have a pretty healthy respect for us now. I saw one guy who referenced the 2008 game where they didn't even get across the 50 yard line until the 3rd quarter...LOL

Lol. Well, clearly they've been watching a streaking USC's game highlights which comes without the warts. Teams tend to look extra scary to fans on edited video. They probably think Ronald Jones runs free on every carry and Sam Darnold is Houdini. They're almost exactly right : )

I still think Kizer is very scary if his head is in the game, but yeah, Kelly has ruined his confidence. They seem to be lacking defensive playmakers like in the last few years though, so I feel pretty good about our chances.

On paper, ND may be more talented than UCLA...but mentally their team had already checked out.
I'm slightly worried if they ever manage to get motivated on saturday.

Our team needs to be focused and ready. Don't want another 1st quarter like yesterday.

I was extra happy to see them lose last week. If they had come in needing a win against USC to be bowl eligible you know they would be giving their all.
Now they are playing for pride, which can be a powerful motivator, but if we can punch them in the nose early, they will likely decide it is not worth it.

Notre Dame is a mess. There is no intrigue around this game. This will be an easy win.

As long the team doesnt look at it as an easy win, it should be. We made the mistake last night of letting the Gutties get some hope and they played above their heads in that first quarter and into the second, which you can't let them do in a rivalry game. Thankfully, we made some plays, got it under control, and put them in their place. We need to shut the domers down from the get go and not let them think that they have a chance. Kizer can be very dangerous, so we need to be all over him and shake his confidence from the beginning.

Here is a legit question: Do the players want Kelly to get fired? If so, they'll come out flat and only play half-heartedly.

They read the interwebs. They know the score ---- Kelly is on the hot seat and if they don't like him, they're not going to do anything to help him out.

F the domers! I enjoy UsuCkLA and the domers misery. In fact F the whole Pac 12. I hate their fan bases, they were so smug when SC was hosed. Many still call SC cheaters and gloss over the facts that have come to light. F'm!

We need a big streak. ND still leads the series 46-36-5.

Their defense is really bad - maybe even Cal/Oregon bad. Fired their DC mid-season. Kiser is a good player - but not much different than some of the QBs we face in the Pac. I think the match-ups are good for SC.

Is Torii Hunter's kid injured? If so, we just need Adoree to cover Equinameomideliciousness St. Brown and not let Kiser burn us with his feet and we should be able to stop them.

We want them to keep Brian Kelley. Give him an extension. My biggest fear is that they rehire granny Holtz. Even at 90, he would outcoach kelley, davie, willingham, and jabba.

I'm 51 and the one thing I have been hoping to see in my lifetime is USC leading the series, is that too much to ask? I figure I probably only have 25-30 years left, so we better get to it.

Yes, let's start a "Don't Fire Brian Kelley" campaign.

Just like playing UCLA, no matter the record, it's always an unpredictable game. Gotta love rivalries......

I don't think they'll fire him after this season, but if they do, I just don't want them to hire PJ Fleck or Jon Gruden. I would expect, however, them to pursue the latter if comes to that.

This is now their Bowl Game. That makes them scary and unpredictable.
