The ACC in particular is very close to having to shut down. Virginia Tech has had their first two games postponed due to COVID19. Other teams in the ACC are having issues and there is real talk about shutting down the season - there goes Clemson and ND, two potential CFP teams. I think if you lose one more conference you lose the CFP. Testing, though improved, will be more tricky when flu starts - hopefully it will be a later flu season this year (though that may make basketball more problematic). It will be interesting to see what happens, agree with Erik that teams like SC have done a nice job of protecting their student athletes and this creates the possibility of playing.

The Big 12 only announced their adoption of a 15-minute antigen test two days ago.

Is there long term Serious Health Risks?? Outside of comorbidities; does COVID-19 have similar symptoms to the annual Flu?? What is the answer? As American citizens, we should be demanding this answer! Because the truth is and ALWAYS has been... EVERYONE was and is; expected to contract the COVID- 19 virus. Let that sink in! EVERYONE was and is; expected to contract the COVID- 19 virus. The use of masks and social distancing were ONLY expected to "flatten the curve," preventing the infected from overwhelm the medical infrastructure, NOT to prevent the spread of COVID-19! AT NO point in the past six months was the American medical infrastructure overwhelmed. (The lack of use; Navy Hospital ships on both east and west coasts and hospitalization records confirm this.) "SC have done a nice job of protecting their student athletes." From what?? The "decision makers" in the PAC -12 and inside USC, could very well have SCREWED UP a lot of student athletes lives and playing careers. After two weeks of High School Football; (Utah, Ohio) one week of a limited 2020 NCAA Football season, and thousands of returning to campus college students, who have contracted COVID-19... NONE have required hospitalization. ALL of the last 60 days of data; SUPPORTS... the "cure" is far worse than the COVID-19 virus itself. At this point; (September 2020) the deaths have yet to warrant the OVER reaching levels of the shutdown. (regardless of W.H.O's , C.D.C., John Hopkins's numbers / data you use. Be smart; everyone needs to always take the necessary steps of good personal hygiene. However; if you want to live a "scared" lifestyle, constantly worrying about the "tricky" aspects of life and "It will be interesting to see what happens" by all means live it. Live it from the inside of your residence and leave the rest of us alone, to continue on with our lives. REOPEN the American way of Life! It is no secret that the numbers have been drastically exaggerated as to how many they claim have died from COVID vs. actually died FROM COVID. You have LA County Public Health Director Barbara Ferrer recorded on a conference call last week acknowledging that the election will likely play a part as to when schools re-open. C'mon...really? I guess COVID will miraculously go away if Biden were to win the election. Unreal. Nothin' to see here folks! How dumb do they think we all are? This is largely a ruse for political gain. What happened to the regular flu that kills anywhere from 55k-70k Americans per year? I guess it is on vacation. CrownoftheValley, TrojanTenor1, Rodgarnay51 and 2 others like this.

Since the PAC-12 is in no danger of being invited to the big dance, does playing in November basically just help recruiting? We’re not getting that “extra” Rose Bowl either, since the B1G will probably get someone in the first one. So, have I listed all the benefits? Other than being able to watch our team play a little earlier. (Which I will take, don’t get me wrong)
