USC hit its top two targets on its at the TE position with TEs Ethan Rae and Jude Wolfe verbally committing, as expected, in the past month. Coach Helton did a great job of selling both players on coming to SC together.

And I would want these two guys on the streets "collecting" from anyone who owed me money.

But it also got me to thinking about the other "uncommitted" duos I'd like to see commit to SC over the next six months:

    · Wide Receivers: Bru McCoy and Kyle Ford

Just like Amon Ra St. Brown and Devon Williams from last class, McCoy and Ford are physically ready to play CFB right now.

    · Offensive Tackles: Jonah Tuannu’u and Sean Rhyan

I was at Narbonne HS as they prepare for an upcoming pre-season scrimmage . . . and let's just say it looks good for Tuannu'u. And Ryhan is everything you want physically and IQ-wise in an OLineman.

    · Running Backs: Kenan Christon and Jordan Wilmore

Don't blink or you may miss Christon, and don't relax or you may get run over by Wilmore.

    · DE/OLBs: Kayvon Thibodeaux and Drake Jackson

Top pass rusher Thibodeaux wants to make a decision this Fall, and I'm looking forward to watching the rising Jackson (Centennial HS) go head to head against Tuannu'u and Narbonne this Fall.

    · DT/NT: Siaki Ika and Matthew Pola-Mao

Ika showed the strength that you'd expect from a 340lbs mauler, but also the agility of someone much smaller at The Opening Finals in Dallas, TX. Pola-Mao is the "little" brother of current Trojan Safety Isaiah Pola-Mao.

    · Safety: Noa Pola-Gates and Jordan Patterson

The athletic Pola-Gates comes from the gift that keeps on giving to SC - the Troy Polamalu family. And Jordan Patterson (6'3, 200) was an under the radar beast at The Opening Regional in Los Angeles.

    · Cornerbacks: Trent McDuffie and Max Williams

McDuffie (5'11) and Williams (5'8) are not the biggest CBs, but they are among the best, and they proved it at The Opening Finals this past June.

    NOTE:
This list does not preclude any other "currently committed" recruits who may flip to SC. But with a larger number of scholies available in 2019, there is going to be more space in this recruiting class.

Why is McCoy being looked at mostly as a WR? At first I thought it was a given that he'd end up on the defensive side of the ball.

He wants to play WR. Think of him as a bigger JuJu.

    Helix,
How many spots do you anticipate to be available for next year’s recruiting class. If we get those kids above we will have another top 5 recruiting class! The Floats will be an after thought!

Last season, McCoy caught almost 50 balls for nearly 800 yards, and 11 TDs as a WR.
On defense at DE, he had 2 sacks.

He's pretty good on defense, but if you have a pair of hands . . . you play offense.

It's always a moving target, but I think SC will have upwards of (24-26) spots this cycle.

And the Floats have been an after-thought for a couple of years.

The floats are going to be dreaming about their class, when it's gone.

That's a pretty sweet list! Throw in Henry To'oto'o and a Faatui Tuitele along with a few flips and 2019 will be a pretty amazing year!

I really wonder what's going on with Faatui. Such a odd situation that was, to be in his top ten or five and then be gone the next.
