Cuomo and all of these burgeoning left wing tyrants are lying pieces of shit. If you're going to lie about a policy that is directly responsible for killing thousands, you should lie about something that isn't so easily proven to be a lie.

NY GOV. CUOMO (D) BLAMES THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION FOR NEW YORK’S DECISION TO SEND COVID PATIENTS TO NURSING HOMES
    by Kevin Ryan

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo (D) today blamed the Trump administration for New York’s decision to send 4,300 coronavirus patients to nursing homes, where 5,800 people subsequently died.

“What New York did was follow what the Republican administration said to do,” Cuomo said during his Saturday news conference. “So don’t criticize the state for following the president’s policy.”

Cuomo then turned to his top aide Melissa DeRosa, who repeated his claim that the state had only followed guidance from the CDC and CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services).

“The policy that the New York Department of Health put out was directly in line with the March 13 directive put out by the CDC and CMS that read, and I quote ‘Nursing Homes should admit any patients from hospitals where COVID is present’. Not ‘could’, but ‘should,’ De Rosa said. “This is President Trump’s CMS and CDC.”

However, a comparison of New York’s mandate with the federal guidance put out by “President Trump’s CMS and CDC” reveals they could not be more different.

    Judge for yourself:

    • THE FEDERAL GUIDANCE -
On March 13th, the CMS (the federal agency that administers Medicare) released a memorandum entitled “Guidance for Infection Control and Prevention of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Nursing Homes.” I’ve put the only part mentioned by Cuomo today in bold.

“A nursing home can accept a resident diagnosed with COVID-19 as long as the facility can follow CDC guidance for Transmission-Based Precautions. If a nursing home cannot, it must wait until these precautions are discontinued…

“ that they would normally admit to their facility, including individuals - / . Also, if possible, dedicate a unit/wing exclusively for any residents coming or returning from the hospital. This can serve as a step-down unit where they remain for 14 days with no symptoms (instead of integrating as usual on short-term rehab floor, or returning to long-stay original room).”

Now compare that to New York’s binding order to all nursing homes in the state, which was issued on March 25:

    • THE NEW YORK DIRECTIVE -
The New York State Department of Health distributed a directive to New York nursing homes on March 25th, saying:

“No resident shall be denied admission or readmission to a nursing home solely based on a confirmed or suspected diagnosis of COVID-19. Nursing homes are prohibited from requiring a hospitalized resident who is determined medically stable to be tested for COVID-19 prior to admission or readmission.”

In other words, while the federal guidelines say nursing homes should accept individuals and take COVID patients if they are not equipped to handle them, the New York state directive actually nursing homes to take COVID-19 patients, and even from giving a COVID-19 test to new or readmitted patients to see if they have the virus.

New York’s policy remained in effect for a month and a half, during which time the state forced nursing homes to take in 4,300 coronavirus patients, despite desperate staff pleading that it was taking a horrible toll on their elderly residents.

By the time the requirement was ultimately repealed amid widespread criticism, 5,800 nursing home residents and staff in New York were already dead, the highest number of nursing home deaths in the country, and the highest death rate per facility.

Cuomo has denied that his directive contributed to any of the deaths.

Officially sanctioned gubernatorial and mayoral murder initiated in the state of New York.

And, if a citizen deliberately placed another person in harms way knowing they may face death, they would be held for 2nd degree murder or manslaughter at the least.

So much for "Equal Justice for All"
