Just saw elsewhere on the interwebs that he asked for and received an NLI release from UDub. Seems like the poor kid is having a ton of personal fam issues, hope it all works out for him and when/if it does hope he reconsiders 'Sc I know there was mutual interest last cycle. Either way Fight on!

 

Absolute beast of a player. Love him and his style. If he goes the CC route for a year or two, I'd love to see him end up as a Trojan. Kid is a stud.

Commits to BYU and reaffirms his commitment after rumors fly that he's looking elsewhere. He commits to UW, signs LOI, asks for a release as fall camp starts. Now he commits to Alabama. I thought he wanted to be closer to home.

 

The real story shall come out soon enough....but this has nothing to do with distance.

Wow, he signed with 'Bama? After hearing about the homesickness and family issues, I figured he'd either take the year off or choose a school close to home. I'm sure there are some mixed feelings up in Seattle right now.

I just hope this works out for Brandon. There's no shame in going the JC route for a year or choosing the local state school. Great get for 'Bama...like BLF said, this kid is ferocious.

 

We've seen this kind of thing before.

There are some kids that you are glad didn't look your way.

You are never really sure if you have them.

Alabama may not be the last stop over the next few years.

 

Tuscaloosa job market for parents continues to trend upward.

So he left UW to be closer to home and ended up going just as far? If so, that’s pretty bad.

Well, this is just another example that points out that you never really know what's going on.

Either the kid used the family issues to get out of his LOI with UW . . .

OR

. . . the family issues kept him at home from UW, and now he's trying to get as far away as possible from the drama by going to Alabama.

Either way, UW is left holding the bag with a scholie they could have used on another recruit, and Bama better hope this is not a knee-jerk decision that changes in a year or two.

These situations are not easy for anyone.

That's why there's no substitute for a recruit who knows where they want to be and buys in from the start.

Bama starting to pull some legit west coast poly kids to the south. This may not affect USC but it certainly isn’t a good thing.

 

UW should be allowed to call BS on this one and revoke his transfer approval. I am all for kids receiving more freedom from NCAA control but this was deceitful and dishonorable.

 

Bama has said that Kaho couldn’t qualify at UW.
