I followed boxing for years. I had some patients that were pro boxers and was invited to some bouts. There is nothing like being ringside during a boxing match. You really get an appreciation how hard these guys hit. I used to watch the Gillete Cavalcade of Sports back in the day. They had all these guys like Archie Moore, Sugar Ray Robinson, Rocky Marciano, Floyd Patterson, Bobo Olsen, Gene Fulmer, Carmen Basilio and many others on TV. I boxed at the Boys club in SF back in the day. I used to spar with 2nd degree Kung Fu. It got real interesting. He would block my kicks and then tap me on the head. It was pretty humbling. It did some tourneys. I wanted to learn Kung Fu as it uses a lot more upper body action and would go with my boxing. Some injuries have slowed me down over the years. I guess I am glad I do not have to use it. I might pull something....LOL Trojanfan562 and DaFireMedic like this.

Had I won, my next match would have been against a 19 yr old Tito Ortiz (I was 30), six months before his first UFC. He would have killed me, lol. TheRealAirbns, Trojanfan562 and TroyBill like this.

I was a lil taken aback by how tall and skinny he was compared to how bulky he looked on camera. He was very nice though. I think he was grateful that we didn't bother him while he was eating (he was in Wahoos), but caught him while he was walking on Main street. He took a picture while holding my 3 and 1 year old nephews. Had a good laugh when he playfully told the 1 year old to shut up when he started crying. As for the thread topic, I think I'll have to go with Dan Henderson. His KO of Bisping might be my favorite MMA moment of all time. Royce Gracie was like a God to me as a kid, but my opinion of him wained as I got older.
