Carr to miss spring ball drills

USC tailback Stephen Carr, projected to be the 2019 starter for the Trojans, will miss spring ball drills with a herniated disc, according to multiple reports.

Carr also missed time as a freshman with a foot injury but when he was on the field he showed a lot of promise. This spring was supposed to be an opportunity to get a lot of work and prove that he is ready for a lead role. Instead the Trojans will turn to senior Aca’Cedric Ware and sophomore Vavae Malepeai, a pair of talented backs in their own right, and I’ll certainly look at the bright side of this with getting to see the two of them get extended reps.
