Five-star Malachi Nelson (Los Alamitos, Calif./Los Alamitos) a top USC quarterback target in the 2023 recruiting class, as well as 2022 Texas commit Maalik Murphy (Gardena, Calif./Serra), Oregon State commit Travis Throckmorton (Simi Valley, Calif./Simi Valley), Boise State commit Katin Houser (Bellflower, Calif./St. John Bosco) and four-star prospect Jayden Denegal (Apple Valley, Calif./Apple Valley) were a few of the quarterbacks who competed at the Elite 11 Regional at St. John Bosco High School over this past weekend.
