USC 2020 Recruits in Action

WR Joshua Jackson Jr. and Narbonne defeated Lawndale 28-0 last Friday. Jackson Jr. did not participate in play on Friday. Narbonne plays away to rival San Pedro in a conference game next Friday.

TE Jack Yary and Murrieta Valley defeated Buena Park by a score of 70-26. Yary followed up his 3 touchdown performance last week with an equally impressive outing, catching 4 passes for 57 yards and 3 touchdowns. Yary has shined week in and week out for Murrieta Valley and looks poised to contribute as a rookie for USC. Yary looks to keep up the momentum when Murrieta Valley plays Chaparral at home next Thursday.

DT/RG Jamar Sekona and the Marin Catholic Wildcats shutdown Pitman of Turlock last Friday, with an overwhelming score of 42-0. Sekona had an excellent outing on both sides of the ball. Starting at right guard, Sekona effectively protected his quarterback and rusher which largely contributed to the 42 point bludgeoning. Starting at defensive tackle, Sekona recorded multiple tackles for loss and caused many quarterback hurries as he blasted through the opposing line with ease.

DT Kobe Pepe and St. John Bosco had their bye week and they play away to Servite this Friday.

OT/DL Andres Dewerk and Los Gatos defeated Milpitas by a score of 34-3 on Friday. Dewerk and the offensive line helped the team utilize their run game as the team amassed 256 total rush yards along with 5 rushing touchdowns. The team also tacked on 147 pass yards as Los Gatos held the opposing team to just 3 points for the second straight week. Los Gatos plays Wilcox high school away on Friday.

OT/OG Andrew Milek and Brophy College Prep defeated Alhambra of Phoenix by a score of 56-6 last Friday. Milek, a versatile lineman who can play guard or tackle, primarily plays on the left side and has contributed to a strong BCP offensive line unit. This unit showed out as the team steamrolled Alhambra. BCP plays away to Hamilton next Friday.

OT Joey Wright and Bishop Monague of Reno lost to Spanish Springs last Friday by a score of 28-19. While the team put up more than 300 total yards, it was not enough to stop the Spanish Springs offensive attack. Bishop Monague looks to rebound against Damonte Ranch at home this Friday.

OG Kyle Juergens and the St. Margaret Tartans defeated Sante Fe Christian by a close score of 20-14. Juergens and the offensive line held their own against an effective SFC pass rush. Standing at 5-0 on the season, St. Margaret’s plays Bellflower at home next Friday.

OL Jonah Monheim and Moorpark were defeated by Simi Valley by a score of 37-34. Monheim and the offensive line unit allowed 2 total sacks on the night in the shootout performance. Moorpark looks to get back on track when they face Thousand Oaks away next Friday.

The recent 5 star Trojan commit battles San Pedro next week in a rivalry conference matchup.

OLB Ma’a Gaoteote and St. John Bosco had their bye week last week and look to play Servite of Anaheim on Friday of next week.

DT Jay Toia and Grace Brethren defeated Westlake last Friday by a score of 49-35. Toia had an impressive outing recording 2 solo tackles, 4 total tackles, and 4 quarterback hurries. Grace Brethren plays home to Bishop Diego of Santa Barbara this upcoming Friday.
