USC Can't Afford To Overlook Washington

by Greg Katz LOS ANGELES -- You’ll have to forgive USC Trojans fans for sneaking a glance past this Thursday night’s Pac-12 game against the unranked Washington Huskies and respectfully turning their attention toward nonconference rival and No. 15-ranked Notre Dame, which USC is slated to face Oct. 17 in South Bend. While most of the Trojans faithful making the trip to the Midwest for the Notre Dame game see that as the upcoming main event, they also see playing Washington more as a necessity than as an important conference game. In fact, most followers of the Men of Troy would admit they can’t wait to send the Huskies (2-2 overall, 0-1 Pac-12) packing so they can quickly turn their full attention to the upcoming visit to South Bend.
