Trojans add pair of linemen

It was a good Friday night for the USC recruiting efforts in the trenches as the Trojans landed a pair of commitments from two linemen ranked in the top 10 nationally at their positions in OL Alijah Vera-Tucker and DL Hunter Echols. Vera-Tucker (6-4, 285) from Bishop O’Dowd HS in Oakland is the #49 player overall in the ESPN rankings and the #9 OT. He chose the Trojans over Washington. Alijah has the potential to play multiple spots along the line and he’s known for his toughness and ability to finish plays. Click here to watch Hudl highlights for Vera-Tucker Echols (6-4, 235) from Cathedral HS is a former UCLA commit who had long been rumored to have real interest in the Trojans. Hunter is ranked as the #89 player in the nation by ESPN and the #9 defensive end. He’s got a long frame that is going to add weight well and he possesses a good talent for rushing the passer off the edge.
