Townsend ready for role

LOS ANGELES – If you think there’s any hint of disappointment over the way his USC Trojans football career has gone leading up to his senior season, defensive end Greg Townsend Jr. isn’t letting on after a hot and sweaty Southern California afternoon of practice.

On the contrary, Townsend is turning any perceived negatives into positives.

Now entering his 59th season of either writing, broadcasting, or just plain watching USC football, WeAreSC columnist Greg Katz began his affiliation with the website back in 2001, introducing his well-received O/NSO (The Obvious/The Not So Obvious) column and later adding his respected IMHO Sunday opinion and tidbits column.
