Scott commits to Trojans

by Garry Paskwietz

The Trojans received the 2nd verbal commit from a class of 2018 linebacker this week when Raymond Scott from Narbonne announced that he would attend USC.

Scott, a 6-1, 225 inside linebacker prospect follows Bo Calvert from Oaks Christian, an OLB recruit, to form a solid 1-2 punch at a key spot of need for the Trojans in the coming years.

While appearing in all 16 games last year for the state champion Gauchos, Scott had 140 total tackles (101 solo, 39 assist), while also adding 28 tackles for loss and six sacks.

Scott also had offers from Oregon State, Boston College, Syracuse and Washington State.
