According to reports, USC could announce its new athletic director as early as Monday.

The Trojans have locked in on Cincinnati athletic director Mike Bohn, according to The Athletic’s Bruce Feldman.

FOX19’s Joe Danneman said Bohn is already in California, the announcement is set to take place Monday, and Bohn will bring UC athletic department chief revenue officer Brandon Sosna with him.

Bohn has served as the Cincinnati athletic director since February 2014, and his accomplishments there include hiring football coach Luke Fickell — who has the Bearcats at 6-1 and No. 17 in the country — and overseeing an $87 million upgrade to Cincinnati’s basketball arena and football stadium.

Bohn’s most extensive experience as an athletic director comes farther west, as he served as AD at Idaho from 1998-2003 and at Colorado from 2005-2013. With the Buffs, he helped transition them from the Big 12 to the Pac-12, and hired football coach Dan Hawkins, Jon Embree and Mike MacIntyre.

For those looking for a potential Urban Meyer connection, the former Utah, Florida and Ohio State coach who looms as a potential addition depending on which direction the new athletic director chooses to go, Meyer graduated from Cincinnati, Fickell is a former Meyer assistant coach, and Meyer’s son, Nate Meyer, currently plays baseball at Cincinnati.

If hired, Bohn would be the first USC athletic director hired without ties to the school since Mike McGee began at USC in 1984. McGee was hired away from Cincinnati.
