Lame....don't they have any respect at all for the west coast? That is embarrassing. All sec states except Virginia and North Carolina...

Because the Pac 12 has become champion of the Country Club sports and mediocrity abound in the major sports. I doubt the Pac 12 will get a College World Series team this year, not sure Fullerton or any other West Coast school will get there either. Even Women's softball will only get 1 team in the World series.

Fullerton and UCSB look like it. Ucla is the only Pac12 team in the WCWS. The SEC has 4 teams.

What the hell has happened? They play great ball in the South and Southeast but the West should always be king.

They put money into there sports programs plus the fan bases show up and support them. Why would you stay out west and play in games that nobody but family supports you. I went to USC TCU baseball game at TCU this year and there grandstands hold 5000 i thank and it was full for all 3 games.

Don't sleep on St Mary's (Cali).

Seriously, the way it's set up, if a Left Coast team wins it this year it will be a miracle.

Also, we have to remember to get a Regional, you have to bid for one and I don't think any West Coast teams did.

And folks wonder why SoCal softball talent is leaving the state? Oklahoma won the WCWS last night, beating Auburn 2 out of 3. It was a great WS and the 3 games were exciting. Not one peep on the forum here about it. Nothing. If you look at SEC forums, they talkin'. Championship was played in Oklahoma so there was a massive crowd, SRO but in Auburn? Hell, 3 years ago before Clint Myers arrived, they didn't even have bleachers. First, they got bleachers, then they got more bleachers and the last 3 nights, it has been SRO at Auburn's softball field for a viewing party. That would NEVER happen out here. Athletes want to play in that kind of environment with that kind of support.

Arizona advances to the College World Series! They sweep #6 Mississippi State on the road. UCSB won game 1 at Louisville, hopefully they can advance as well so I can have a couple teams to root for. Congrats Zona! Go Gauchos!

UCSB advances to Omaha with a walk off grand slam at #2 Louisville! Louisville's closer is a 1st round draft pick because he throws 95, he decides to trick a freshman pinch hitter who had 26 at bats all season with a change up with the bases loaded, mistake! Great job Gauchos!

Now that the CWS field of 8 is set, let's do a quick review. 4 of the final 8 teams were regional hosts; Miami, Florida, Texas Tech, and TCU. The SEC had 7 teams hosting regionals. A whopping ONE team made the final 8, Florida. Of the ZERO West Coast teams who didn't host, TWO teams made the cut of 8; Arizona and UCSB.

I don't know what will happen but I'm a Wildcat and Gaucho fan with Coastal Carolina a close 3rd.

Santa Barbara, one of the most beautiful regions in the entire world. A perfect setting for the regionals or any sporting event for that matter. Take your pick. Just gorgeous!
