Wow... I havent seen so many white flags waved...

from the posts crying over the demise of our football program because of Ucla hiring Chip Kelly to the growing posts claiming we have no chance cuz Stanford is a different team now... geez....

 

Seriously... people are acting like we tripped and fell into this game like UCLA did that year we were banned from competing...

 

Well we were going to pack it in and close the program at the end of the year anyways because of Blimp Kelly coming to Westwood, might as well forfeit next week's game and get a jump on it. Seriously I know this team has not been as dominant as we think they should have been, but this is ridiculous.

This board has become Pansieville; Milquetoast Central, basically France and Italy in backbone and courage.

Let me propose a different spin: Chip Kelly coming back is a great thing for the Pac 12 and in particular USC. He could make the conference tougher and could make UCLA a team with whom CFB needs to contend.

Thats what we as SC fans should want! If we want to win the CFB natty, we gotta play tough games eventually. We NEED tough games. ( When we have a fair schedule with a bye interspaced appropriately)

When Tommy Prothro and Terry Donahue had UCLA playing tough, SC competed and won. whem Toledo had UCLA up, we folded.

Also we should be thrilled to play Stanford, a tough rugged team. Again, we gotta play tough rugged teans eventually, might as well test our mettle ASAP. If we win, we look awfully attractive for the playoffs and if we lose, the sun will rise the next day, the fish will still be biting and children and grandchildren won’t care a lick.
