It appears five teams will be in the running for the final four playoff spots. The loser of the Bama-Georgia game will have a loss. If the remaining three teams go undefeated, ( Clemson, Ohio St. and Notre Dame), will or should the loser of the Alabama/Georgia game be left out?

An undefeated Clemson and Ohio State would be in for sure...I think a one loss Alabama/Georgia would still get in over an undefeated ND...there are a ton of games left to play, I would be surprised if all these teams went undefeated.

Yes and you can bet that our illustrious commissioner will do nothing to challenge that from happening. Sometimes I think he's a mole.

We’re gonna ambush the Irish! It will be sweeeeeet.

I believe we are saving pretty much ALL of our good plays for them......for you haven’t seen any of them yet, no?

Well one of them (Notre Dame) can still have their schedule ruined.
If we beat them, that will ruin their chances of a CFP spot and the rest will be in.

Honestly, I’d say Alabama/Georgia are in, Ohio State and the remaining spot will depend on which program (ND/Clemson) has the better looking resume.
Right now, I’d put Notre Dame in over Clemson though.

I think Texas and OU can both get in if OU beats TX in the Big 12 championship game and win the rest of their games. They would have 1 loss each. Same with OSU & Penn St. History of the playoff system shows you do not even need to win your division or even play in the conference championship game, just don't have 2 losses.

I cannot overstate how badly I want someone, anyone, to upset the Domers going forward. It could happen, but if it does, it'll be a huge surprise.

Bama will need to lose twice before being left out; that looks pretty doubtful.

I agree, UNLESS their lone loss is in the CCG and ND goes undefeated, as does Clemson, and the BIG champ has only 1 loss (or 0 losses). Then Bama would be left out, I'm IMSO.

The real question is which 6th place team from the Big 12 will we play in the Cheez-It Bowl?

    I'm hoping for Iowa State.

And he should do what, exactly? Send a toughly-worded letter on behalf of an 8-4 USC?

Clemson & OSU get in with undefeated season, Bama or UGA would get in with 0 loss season as well, might get in with 1 loss season depending on how close that game is.. ND don't play conference so they always going to be pushed out especially if it's against SEC teams lol and i'm not mad about that at all..
