    Leinert as a college QB was money. A guy that knew how to win.

    I couldn't help but notice, no one's mentioned Rodney Peete.

    Yup, twice.
    @FIGHTON! and @uscvball

    Peete’s one of my faves too, played during my school days.

    But I have to fall in with Matty B. One of this great QBs who would have benefitted playing during a different era. For him to best both teams that played for the Pac-12 championship makes us the 2011 champs as far as I’m concerned. Fight on!

    Since you're putting up a list, here's my Top 6 in no particular order. (It's hard to pick just one or even limit it to five.)

    Rodney Peete
    Todd Marinovich
    Matt Leinart
    Sam Darnold
    Pat Haden
    Matt Barkley

    Matt Barkley.

    Aside from Kessler, he likely had the worst physical tools. The game in the Horseshoe was so memorable, but let's also remember he held the team together as Carroll abandoned ship, as sanctions were announced, babysat Lane Kiffin...it should be noted how few players left when given a fire escape. And through it all, he put up flatly astronomical numbers with a noodle for an arm and a supercomputer in his skull.

    Add in staying a year, which likely hurt his draft chances badly, and I don't think there was another player that gave more of himself to this school and exemplified the notion of Fight On more than MB.

    Matt Leinart hands down......I'll never forget his ND post-game comment after the "Bush Push".....Leinart told the reporter, "we don't know how to lose." Just wish they would have completed the three-peat.
