The WRs are VERY talented. How much of it is Colbert?

I don't think Harrell has been all that great as OC, but he's worlds better than Tee Martin and his work with Slovis shouldn't be ignored.

They weren't really living up to their talent the past two seasons. Pittman, Vaughns, ARSB are better than they were in previous seasons.

Harrell is fairly decent in my opinion and will get better. The OL is playing a lot better and the running game was pretty good until the injuries piled up at RB. Had we remained healthy there, offense is more balanced. Transfer Richmond, from Tenn, ended up being a great pickup as well. OL play is much improved (Drevno) and Harrell should get all the credit for Slovis and offensive improvements. I've seen a couple comments about Harrell's offense being turnover pron, that is not Harrell, that is QB making the throw/bad decision.

Just when you think Pittman has had a totally amazing game, he tops it in the next one. He is so good!

I would want the new coach to choose whomever they feel is best, but I would not complain about him keeping Burns, Keary, or Chad K.

You guys are forgetting about the kids.

They no doubt have big bonds with some of their favorite coaches. You can’t just bomb out everybody....the kids will feel it, hard.

Bomb out all the coaches and should a new coach not bond well, or fails and loses some games, there might be a mini-mutiny. Not having a strong connection with your position coach can lead to problems.

Nansen is the key to most of the Samoan brothers.....they are very close-knit culturally. Very dangerous to fire Nansen. I don’t think he was an ILB coach, Helton put him there.

Burns might be important to the DBs, would have to see what Urban...oops, I mean, the new coach has in mind from his Rolodex.

Coach K seems to be effective with the DL progress.

This whole thread is absurd. Having opinions about the general state of the program is the appropriate limit of a fan's purview. Giving a job evaluation of assistant coaches? Beyond ridiculous. What the hell do any of you know about these guy's, let alone enough about football to be offering such posts? Just stop...it's hard to stomach.

When exactly did they play a game when they didn't have at least one elite athlete or high ranked RB on the field? USC's number 4 back is better than 8 Pac 12 starters and they can run the ball.

    Vai Malepaei 4 star
    Marquese Stepp 4 Star

Didn't Carr start last game? Was he not a 5 star?
Kenan Christon is a 3 star ( with elite Track Speed)

Let's be honest if UM comes he'll bring in his own staff. He may choose to keep a coach or two for continuity but he will bring in his own system which means his own coordinators. If we hire someone else I still feel we get a new system and coordinators but a better chance of some position coaches staying. Nansen for recruiting is a possibility. Colbert & Burns could be other possibilities. Who knows. I'm just playing along.

UM runs a power running scheme. Make Harrell the QB coach and passing game coordinator and mix the passing game with UM's power running game and you could have a wild good offense. That's basically the offense tOSU ran with Haskins.
