It could be either Utah or Arizona (both on the road). Given how it hard it is to go undefeated, for any team. Even with experinced players at key positions.

Everything hinges on a new QB and a (hopefully) better performing offensive line, can't take anyone lightly. Got to crush expectations and not buy into the hype.

I'm certainly not sweating buckets or anything. But it has the hallmarks of a string of "gotcha" games, more so if there's injures (to a degree).

I am a long term thinker..... for beyond next year - UCLA. Sends the message that they can spend boatloads of money on a top-tier coach and it wont change a damn thing......

For next year specifically - Stanford or Arizona

For me, it’s the “likelihood” of a loss that concerns me, and I believe the chances are higher in the beginning of the season, before the new qb completely gels. That means Stanford or Texas. Between the two, a loss to Stanford affects our conference chances, so I pick the Furd. I like our D in the game, I just hope the trees aren’t up to speed with their D yet.

Indians will come after our new QB, whoever he is.

None as a Trojan fan no game makes me nervous the only nervous fans are those who have to play SC. JT is going to get on that field and will smoke everyone.

I would say the @Stanford, @Texas, @Utah, and Notre Dame games will be the toughest games for USC. I don't believe @Arizona, Cal, or @UCLA will be as tough as people will assume they will be. UNLV, Washington State, Colorado, Arizona State, and @Oregon State should be fairly easy opponents for The Men of Troy to handle. The Pac-12 (North) will be between Washington and Stanford. The Pac-12 (South) will be between USC and Utah. My prediction for the Pac-12 title game: Washington vs USC

When you combine criticality of the game vs the most likely scnario for a loss - no question it's Arizona. September, in Tucson. Guarantee Larry Scott and his PAC-12 schedulers will make sure it's a day game in the heat. Pac-12 South foe. Khalil Tate. And Sumlin is a huge upgrade over Rich Rod.

Have to disagree there, I think Rich Rod is a better coach, just not a great recruiter. We’ll see what Sumlin does on that front, but I just don’t see him as a great game coach.

TX cause it will be on a national stage

AZ because i think they will get a surge with Sumlin and I think they will be gunning for us to make a statement for the program.

Sumlin coached up and had some nice upsets his first couple of seasons at A&M....I really thought he'd have them becoming a fierce rival to Alabama in the SEC....

Stanford and Texas for me, then Zona, with Tate, you just never know....

    Stanford.

They'll be hyped to get revenge on SDSU after their embarrassing loss last year. While we get UNLV for our first game. Great to break in a new QB, but don't know if we'll be ready for @Furd for game 2.

Possibly, but I think Helton’s got Shaw figured out. Plus we’ll be fired up too, it’s playing Texas after Stanford that is gonna be tough.
