What do you do when your coach is a great recruiter, but can’t coach?

Agree 100% and can’t explain why other programs can come in and steal prospects out of the Los Angeles area.

Add in the networking/alumni base that the USC name holds, USC should remain in the top 1/4th of the PAC-12.
USC/UCLA/Arizona are good enough to stay up top, and then the last stop is between the Washington/Oregon/Utah/Colorado of the conference..

SC has never had consistent BB success - one shared Pac-12 title since before Wooden, never any fan interest or attendance, etc. Has never hired a top coach. This just didn't start with CAE, it has been going on for 50 years. Yes they had one good year here or there but what happened to Floyd and Bibby (both fired).
Compare SC recruiting to AZ and FUCLA - Team Rankings Last 6 Years (2013-2018):
    AZ - 11. 3, 3, 9, 3, 22
    FUCLA - 12, 7, 24, 11, 5, 6
    SC - 48, 19, 45, 34, 31, 18
Who has under achieved more in the last five years? Crooked Miller, Alfired, or CAE? Those SC class rankings are not great, just OK.
AZ lost to Buffalo in the 1st round with those classes (3,3,9,3)? And they had the #1 draft pick.
The real story is why SC FB down - no excuse there - one of the most storied programs of all-time.
