I just don't get it. Vavae Malepeai vs WSU: 13 carries for 78 yards and 2 TDS. Vavae Malepeai vs Arizona (still in the 4th): 2 carries 9 yards and 1 td. Is the USC gameplan "hey it worked last week so we should confuse them this week and not do it again." Vavae Malepeai has at least earned more than a token few carries a game right?

Yes he and Carr are the two best backs on the team but Ced gets more carries cause he earned it. Like bob dole did back in the day. Thats how it works at mediocre programs but not those competing for championships.

Bob Dole? I would say more like Hillary, look past everything and run her out there, and take the L. I think Tee and Clay are allergic to the run.

I’m surprised to see Vae with only 3 carries but it’s hard to argue when the other two backs go 21 for 173 and 2 scores (including a 69 yarder) and 14 for 80. This was a good day for the SC run game.

Vae would have closed this game out in the 3rd quarter. Just saying.

Ced Ware deserved every carry he had. Look at his production and his toughness. I think Vae is a really good back, but all three backs are very good and would be the #1 back at most schools. The run game looked good tonight.

I think he’s better than Carr and Ware...should be starting and the workhorse. Carr just not what I thought he was going to be (historically Carr no comparison to Joe McNight...and not even in the same league as Rojo, Lendale or the goat RB.) 5 star overrated...but fat o-line not doing any of them any favors...Zona one competent d lineman manhandled them all night.

He is the HEAD coach. Who else is going to decide who runs the ball?

Nah, Ced Ware was the best back tonight.

It was the coaches' fault for not relying on him more in the 4th quarter.

I've never been so angry after a victory.

Horrible experience tonight watching this game.

All three backs have had their moments, and each bring a little something different to the table. I think Ced runs the hardest, has good speed but is more of a one cut runner. Vae is the toughest to bring down because he’s big, strong and shifty, but probably the slowest of the three. Carr 0.9 is the most elusive, with decent speed and power. When he becomes 1.0 again, he’ll be unstoppable.

As far the tonight’s run game goes, only so many touches to go around. Ced was on fire tonight. Don’t blame the coaches for giving the rock to the hot hands.

I didn't think any of the 3 looked particularly good tonight. Running lanes were there all night that were missed. Sorry, I thought they were all pedestrian in the best game our OL has played this season.

Ware isn't chopped liver. The man can play. Aca earned the starting job because he's an excellent football player on par with Mal and Carr. He's also a better pass blocker.

Yep, that's why he couldn't get a first down to close out the game. Yah, you keep thinking that. Ware WAS THE MAN! Deal.

As often as there open running lanes missed by our backs, there were equally as many plays where their defensive player was in our backfield to blow the play up. Yea, our O-line looked the best they’ve looked all year...but against the worst team in the P12 South.

I agree with this. Too many times when they need to plant and go, they run sideways. And way too many times they don't make the first guy miss - especially slow DL on those 3rd/4th and 1 plays. Bad vision in the trenches.
