Okongwu was the only spark in the first and doubled down in the 2nd! The team was just lights out in that last half. I hope we can start faster because this young team is fun to watch and would love to seem them win the Pac and make the tourney.

First half shooting was bad. Team has to practice shooting
    Especially on home court.
Seems like defense will be a strength of the team

Some things to keep in mind.
They don't have an experienced PG like McLaughlin or Pruitt who can provide floor leadership.
They are heavily dependent on True Freshmen who are their best players.
There is young and raw talent but inexperience will show.
Getting this team to play like veterans won't happen.

The crowd was slightly better than I expected, but still hoping for a bigger turnout. The primary Student Section was almost full, which is good for playing FAMU on a Tuesday night, but the alumni crowd needs to improve!

If the team plays like it did in 2nd half it will build some excitement and increase attendance.

Is AE Helton part deux? Why is he starting Nick R? He’s been completely outplayed by the freshmen on the team in their first 2 games. Put him on the bench as a 6th man. Why is it so hard for USC coaches to play the best man????

My guess is that Mathews was held out starting due to a minor team rule and he wanted a vet in the starting lineup. It's the 1st game against a team they would beat.
"Andy said after the game that they will continue to play all 11 players over the next several games at least, and might have different lineups depending on matchups and how the players are performing at practice."
