And next year, or two years down the road, when we go 11-1 and are on the cusp of a playoff spot, we'll get the Ohio St treatment and be left out because everyone will remember how much we've previously embarrassed ourselves on a big stage before. That's why the "this season was a step in the right direction...don't overreact to one game...conference champs!" arguments are delusional. In a league where the playoffs are set by humans, subjectively, you don't get to erase bad performances or "outgrow" them. It takes years to repair that damage. I hate the idea of having to start from scratch every 2 years. Its just, games during the season have not produced a big enough lead for backup and 3rd stringers to get any playing time/experience, like during the glory years last decade.

Even the announcers were commenting on the lack of creativity in the play calling. WIth the talented athletes on the field, we should have some plays that highlight this. THe predictability of the play calling makes it easy for the defenses. Let's face it--- we have not had a decent OC since Norm CHow. oajr01 likes this.

Why are freshman starting over these guys who have been in program for a few years and should be yoked up, and coached up and ready to go ? Recruiting misses ? Bad coaching ? Weak strength coach ? Any one notice how every ohio guy was ripped. We need a coach KU type hire for oline. Callaway is a dinosaur, recruits don't connect, he doesn't even recruit. TIme to go. What ex Trojan lineman would you call ?

Sam pretty much shook off all the set backs, and got back on the saddle to make some elite throws last night. The kid is just special. I am glad he is a Trojan. Fight On!
