Need some better coaches in a few positions. They could've played Clemson and Bama, and it still wouldn't have made a difference.

It was Jamel Cook, not Vaughns

The next move is to find someone who can coach the offensive line. This is one of the worst O lines that I can remember.

Our basketball team is behind and will probably lose as well. Not a good day at all.

That's largely because the OSU offense is not all that good. If they were, it would be a runaway like Bama and ND.

The OL is a HUGE problem. We still have a long way to go before we are CFP contenders. We just aren't there yet. This is a young team, without an identity.

    Not for me.
But for some of these posters it seems it was.

Oline is awful. Play calling is awful. Scheme is awful.
    Wide receivers are inconsistent.

Is Tee responsible for the Western Kentucky style offense that shows zero physicality in the red zone.

It is not a huge problem. IT IS THE PROBLEM. 8 Sacks. Need I say more. You could put Aaron Rodger or Tom Brady back there and it would not have made a difference.

This sucks so much. As much as I can't stand seeing my team lose, it's another thing to get whooped on the big stage in front of a national audience. The Pac-12 has nothing to hang their hats on, I believe UW loses to Penn State which will undoubtedly reaffirm the country's views about Pac-12 teams being soft af.

Put Sam behind the 2003-2006 USC o-lines and he would be a Heisman winner. Our OL is not even close to being at a championship level.

Ohio St defense was great. Hats off to them.
Their offense is not so great though. I think they would've got destroyed in the playoff.

    Ask yourselves
But could you have done more to offset that by moving Sam around or quick passes, etc? It's the same play every play.

Continuation of being one of the worst red zone offenses in America all season

Scouts will see that his turnovers were in many cases a result of a poor O-Line and making poor decisions because of being rushed. The fact that it wasn't the case last year shows that it is not necessarily a trait that cannot be coached.

The pick 6 was a the result of a poor read. Plenty of NFL QB's have thrown pick sixes. Sam's intangibles FAR outweigh his negatives and with coaching and development, the negatives can be mitigated or even possibly eliminated.

Think I'm wrong? Take a look at Jared Goff. He was a disaster last year and people were questioning whether he deserved the #1 pick and there was even talk that the Rams should try to dump him for a 3rd or 4th round pick. Then he gets a new coach, who is known to develop QB's and Goff has a Pro Bowl season.

If you want to feed Darnold to the wolves because of this one game, go ahead. I'm guessing that each NFL team is hoping all the other GM's think like you so they can draft Sam and get a steal.

Yup. You need a reliable play set under center, 2 backs in the red zone. If we had worked on that all season this game would have looked different.
