I don't like all the straight running on the last two possessions either, we needed to eat clock and we had two three and outs. Still, great win.

He should play that last Cal drive over and over, again, in the next team meeting. Let them all see what it looked like, until it fires them up.

Hey easy there. That score helped my game prediction......;)

Everyone was clamoring for the 2's getting playing time and this is apart of that.

The one last week against TX was legit. When you see a guy with a bunch of INT's, some of them are of the garbage type.

I thought you wanted to have the 2nd and 3rd string play?

Again another team with a weak QB. That's 3 out of 4 teams they played with a below average QB and they're still squeaking by. That luck is going to end when they start facing better QB's. You get 6 turnovers and you win by 10 pts?

Sam needs to understand you can't throw picks in the redzone in a tie game. Second game in a row he's tossed a pick on a forced throw. In the red zone.

Yep, I was trying to wake up a few people this week about Darnold's interceptions and his need to get those under control. Then there it was, again.

USC post game just brought up the Sam not taking snaps from under center issue, no fullback, and not many two-back sets.

Ah well, it sucks being right about this going back to last year, which I kept raising the red flag about. Offense is predictable...but it's going to get better once Darnold gets his receivers on the same page. USC is close...

I also wondered what happened to the 2 back sets today.

We should have won 37-13 at least. It was way too early at ~7 minutes left to go vanilla and just running straight forward every down. A better opponent might have been able to take advantage of those two 3 and outs.

I agree. The only reason I think he took his foot off the pedal is because of the short week.
    Pullman Friday night.

USC ran a lot of pure pistol where the RB is tucked in directly behind the QB. The QB is back three to four yards from the LOS and the RB about five or six. I don't think I saw Carr lined up left or right of Sam to at least show the read option. It was a vanilla run game without having Rojo in there. The big runs were not going to happen.
