Of course, that Cal game was in the afternoon. As many have said, being at ND in 2005, seeing fans rush the field, have to go back when they put that time back on the clock...then thinking ML was stopped, only to be pushed over...and, of course, all that happened at the end zone where the USC fans were....it almost made up for the Decade of Dominance. I saw the ball pop out very close to the end zone, but could not see the refs. When the ND players and fans started running onto the field, I thought the refs ruled a touch back because the ball was fumbled into the end zone! That is the only game I have felt the agony of defeat and the thrill of victory in the same game!!!
