USC - Utah game thread

We definitely see what he is, but that does not mean we should not expect more. If he is not performing on the field as expected of him, then either he is not doing everything in his power to get better, the coaches are not coaching him up, they are not putting him in a position to win, or some crazy combination of all the aforementioned. Practice, practice, practice, and practice until you improve.

 

We lost to Utah state...don’t worry No one is fooled we know who Helton is and what he is capable of...

Last time we played Utah State was in 2016 and we we steam rolled them.

I think that is a factor, but I have to give the BYU defense a lot of credit. They beat us and did a great job with their Defense.

What about #78 Tufele who is virtually unblockable? That guy is a monster on our Dline.

 

All I can say is that the team played hard. Coming into the season the talk was that the team played soft last year because the coaching staff was soft.

We don't give up in the face of adversity. While Helton will never be confused with an elite coach, he has the team playing hungry, and rising to the occasion.

Irregardless of who the coach is, it won't interfere with me enjoying the win, or going in to church tomorrow and talking crap.

When half the congregation are Utards, it's hard to wait.

 

Point taken then. Perhaps a more subtle way of asserting bragging rights would be to wear a USC tie and a big smile to services?

 

Who’s going to take his place ?
At some point we have to realize certain players are not what we bought they’d be.

We’re not very heavy at the LB spot, that’s a issue that must be addressed this year in recruiting.

And yes , this OL is night and day ahead of what we were watching last year.
Why did Fink have the day he had ?

You’re not watching the entire thing develop in front of you.
If we don’t get rushing yards it’s not only due to the OL, there are other factors.
Like how many guys did Utah have up front ?

Utah playing man to man tells you right away that the backers will be close to the line , so running the ball becomes harder.

How much time did Dink have to throw ?
Yes the OL is playing a lot better.

 

Well, that is up to the coaches to handle; isn't it? This is where things fall squarely on the shoulders of the coaching staff.

 

At some point you have to move your personal feelings from one man to see what’s in front of you.
