He's looked good this spring. Ingram has overshadowed all the running backs, but I've been pleased with what Carr has shown.

2-yard touchdown run by Stephen Carr as he pushes his way in. Good sign for USC to convert on a goal line situation.

A 1-yard TD run from Vavae Malepeai on fourth and goal. That's two short touchdown runs for USC today, one from each team.

Touchdown set up by a 45-yard pass from Slovis to London where London settled under a deep ball between two defenders and was able to bring it in right before contact. London is having the kind of spring that typically happens before big seasons.

Josh Jackson Jr. with an interception of Jaxson Dart.

Dart bought some extra time by rolling out of the pocket and tried to loft a ball over Jackson that he intercepted easily. That is an example of some of the struggles we've seen from Dart and Moss this spring as they adjust to this level. Those kinds of plays they could make in high school don't work anymore. Nothing alarming, but definitely some learning experiences this spring for both.

We've seen a few really nice grabs from true freshman wide receiver Michael Jackson III today. He just brought in a 3-yard touchdown from Jaxson Dart, initially grabbing it with one hand.

That'll do it from the spring game, where Team Cardinal beats Team Gold, 27-7

I can’t see it since it is not televised (p12 doesn’t count). Any under the center snaps? I suspect they are going to save that for an actual game, assuming it is ever done.

Wish I had seen those 2 short yardage scores.....might not happen again all year.

It was fun to watch, but unfortunately for me a big takeaway was how appalling the blocking was. Erik, it will be interesting to see if you give any of the OL high marks.

It was encouraging to see at least a little pistol and 2-back sets.

I thought Carr, Ingram, Michael Jackson III, Columbo, Bru and London all looked great. It was fun to see Carr running with some speed and agility again. Columbo made some nice runs at the end. Ingram looks like a real handful.

Dart was clearly the better of the two freshmen QBs today. I can't say it was Kedon's finest hour but he has nothing to prove. It was fun to see KD Nixon giving Moss some good-natured $#!+ trying to get him to relax.

On defense Tuli and Jackson are going to be tough for anyone to block, and Toia was to me very impressive. I didn't really notice the LBs much, but the DBs looked good. It's encouraging to see them intercept all those balls. I don't recall any drops. Man Erik, I hear you about Joshua Jackson! Stadhaus and Griffiths both had some really nice boots, but IMO we saw too much of them!

Having said all that, there was some joy out there and it was nice to see. Now I remember why Adoree Jackson is my all-time favorite Trojan.

Is Slovis floating his passes again? I hope he gets a private QB coach this summer.

I agree, I think Jaxson to Jackson III is gonna be a great connection very soon.

Can someone explain the absence of the play by play guys. They spent more time talking about other things than who was involved in each play.
One interception wasn’t mentioned until several minutes later. Were they not seeing the scrimmage live?

Looks like coach Donte’s impact is paying dividends. Guys are locating and playing the ball so much better than under the previous regime.

The recruiting services got it wrong and owe Michael Jackson an extra star.

Hopefully Ralen is okay after leaving in the final minutes with some type of injury. The Linebacker group cannot afford more injuries.

Coach So’oto has some nice rotation pieces up front. Once Sopsher and Figueroa get healthy, that group should be very interesting to watch. Just think: Korey Foreman isn’t even in the building yet.

Let’s see what McGuire can cook up with the raw ingredients he has at his disposal. The numbers and bodies are there. They just need to be adequate and not a liability.

Ingram will give us a solid back. There aren't many backs who can compete with Bijan Robinson

Even losing Bijan SC was able to get something.
